2025 December 12: v2.1.8a
- Minor update to how checkmate positions are handled (see docs).
- Bug fixes to mitigate internal server errors.
2025 December 10: v2.1.1
- StockfishOnline has upgraded to v2.1.1, now using Stockfish 17.1 and upgraded hardware.
- The internal server issue was resolved.
2025 December 08
- We are aware of an ongoing internal server issue with the API that causes some requests to be rejected with error code 12, and are working to resolve it as quickly as possible.
2025 January 22: v2.0.2
- An issue with the API was investigated and resolved.
- API v1 was fully taken out of operation, as planned. All future and current projects must move to API v2.
2024 October 26
- Notice: There will be a scheduled maintainance at 15:00 CST 27 October 2024.
- Maintainance aims to resolve an issue with internal servers hindering API response time.
2024 August 04: v2.0.1
- Internal request router software was updated to prevent instances in which the router would believe no servers were available.
- Internal request router server availability tracking was updated alongside the first fix.
2024 March 14: v2.0.0
- StockfishOnline has been upgraded to Version 2.
- Now an all-in-one response instead of having different modes.
- Max depth is now 15.
- The old API is now deprecated but will remain accessible at its current location until 2024 December 31.
- All new and existing applications should use V2, see the documentation for more details.
